What the Initial Evaluation includes:

  • Comprehensive, trauma- informed psychiatric assessment

  • Whole- person focus (not just symptoms)

  • Review of medical, social, and family history.

  • Discuss and incorporate the neuro psychiatric management of HIV

  • Use of standardized assessment tools as clinically indicated.

Mind Cafe NP in Psychiatry & Acute Care, PLLC is a private-pay practice offering thoughtful trauma - informed psychiatric care. We have a particular commitment to individuals living with HIV, at risk for HIV and those navigating complex life experiences, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, grief, and substance- related concerns. We also offer support for individuals experiencing anxiety or emotional overwhelming experience related to global events and breaking news. As part of our care, thoughtful psychopharmacology consultation for acute stress, sleep disruption and anxiety triggered by current events heightened by global tension. We also offer confidential PrEP consultation and prescribing within a stigma- free, whole - person approach to sexual and mental health.

Follow - Up Visits

60 minutes — $450.00

30 minutes — $250.00

Focused visits may include:

  • The second visit builds on our initial session and focuses on understanding your experience more deeply. This visit is not medication- based. Instead, we review your goals, explore patterns affecting your mental health, and collaboratively set the direction for care.

  • Sessions may include symptom reflection, emotional processing, and discussion of life context impacting well - being.

  • Risk assessment and safety planning are discussed as clinically appropriate.

  • Visit length is determined collaboratively based on clinical needs and goals.

Accepted payment methods

  • Major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

  • Electronic bank transfers (ACH) are available.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards

  • Zelle/Venmo — Cash or check by prior arrangement

Payment is due at the time of service. A valid card is kept securely on file for convenience.

We understand that life happens. When possible, we ask that appointments be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment may be subject to a late cancellation fee reflective of your appointment booked.

Mind Cafe NP in Psychiatry & Acute Care, PLLC, operates as a private -pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. For clients who wish to pursue out - of-network reimbursement, we partner with Thrizer - a HIPAA- compliant service that assists with benefit verification and claims submission. Thrizer maintains an automatic Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with clinicians to ensure privacy and data protection.
